Designers we LOVE….Persol

PersolDespite living in a very grey climate I still LOVE  to wear sunglasses. Even on the greyest of days I’ll carry a pair with me – hoping for just enough sunshine to be able to justify putting them on.   I have all sorts – vintage, designer, sport – at last count I had over 15 pairs.  

But the bulk of my collection comes from one brand Persol.  And it’s not the James Bond effect.  I was a fan long before 007. For me it was the fact that a functional element like the hinge on their glasses could be so beautiful. Sadly ,while these types of design features were often present in vintage designs, they often get overlooked in today’s efforts to drive down costs and improve margins. This type of design is what inspires us – and is something we strive to do through our designs – as on our LoLA clutch where the hinges are capped with Swarovski crystals.

For us it’s the little details that count – which is why we LOVE Persol.
